could you run a freight T.O.C on the uk rail way using modified pacers?
If you cut out the Passenger compartments and adapted the chaise to take containers. could you link 4, 2 car sets to make a good local freight transport system. As they could be easily separated and sent to major branch line stations?
you’d probably have an easier time putting an engine on a normal container flat. People getting bounced around is one thing, we’re naturally shock absorbent to a certain point. Cargo on the other hand, unless your transporting mattresses, isn’t. So unless you plan to only use them for moving, solid, non fragile bulk goods, I would say it’s not in your potential customer’s best interests.
